Sophie and Frédéric welcome you to their newly renovated, self-contained gîte at back of wooded property 3km from centre of Crest. Terrace has view of trees and large pond with Koï carp, an unusual feature to enhance your stay. Crest is a medieval town (famous castle keep, the tallest in France) which can be seen from miles around. Lots to see and do in the Drôme valley. Great walks/hikes or cycle rides in the Forest of Saoû, climb Les Trois Becs mountain. 40 min. from Die, where you can sample Clairette (sparkling wine) or Dieulefit (pottery and other crafts). Also nearby: typical little villages such as Le Poët-Laval, Bourdeaux or Pont de Barret, rock climbing sites, Drôme and Roubion rivers, lots of local markets...
Detached cottage on wooded property, private terrace (not overlooked) with view of ornamental pond. Single level accommodation. Living room with open-plan kitchen (table, chairs, sofa bed, TV). Bedroom (queen-size bed, TV). Shower room (walk-in shower, dual washbasin), separate WC in same room. Gîte near D93 road (quite busy) and railway bridge (TGV trains). Boules pitch. There is no safety fence around the ornamental pond.
