Bocca di Magra is located at the extreme border of Liguria, at the very beginning of the Gulf of the Poets, separating it from the close Tuscany coasts.
An idyllic and relaxing place just a few metres from the beach: you can reach the most beautiful ones by comfortable boats or by crossing the Mediterranean Scrub through paths connecting Bocca di Magra to Monte Marcello and the other villages of the Gulf, passing by bunkers and war positions dating back to WWI.
By car or by bus, you can comfortably reach, a few kilometres away, Tellaro and Lerici. Here, other boats and ferries will take you to Portovenere or the close Palmaria Island.
By moving eastwards you’ll reach the bathing establishments of Fiumaretta and Marina di Carrara, perfect for those who love sandy beaches, as well as the close Versilia Riviera, with its coast, clubs and famous discos.
If you love the beauty of the hinterland, you’ll surely be fascinated by the hills of Val di Magra with its ancient and evocative villages such as Castelnuovo, Giucano and Ameglia. You can also visit the marble mines of Carrara and the historical city of Sarzana, just 10 mins away by car, where you can take a train to the famous Cinque Terre, just over the Gulf.
