Location
The town of Torre dell'Orso is blessed with fine sandy beaches and crystal-clear sea. There are several beach clubs, which suit different ages and interests. The town is a laid-back resort with a few clubs and many excellent restaurants catering to all budgets and tastes. There are shops and supermarkets within walking distance from the villa, and the town centre is also accessible on foot.
The house is 2 minutes from the Giardini del Sole sports complex which offers many different sports including mini-golf, tennis, volleyball and five-a-side football.
The city of Lecce (25 minutes) is famous for its wonderful Baroque architecture as well as its Roman ruins. It is a jewel of a city and well worth a visit, not only for its long history but also for its excellent food and good shopping. For a wide range of local produce, the twice-weekly market in Lecce is a treasure trove of the finest regional produce from fish, vegetables and fruit to olive oil and cheese.
The closest airport is at Brindisi - just over an hour away by car.
