Description of
Four original natural stone farmhouses recently (2009) converted into romantic holiday cottages, on an 18th-century country estate, with an animal park and a playing lawn, right by a stream and a pond with water lilies

This country state about 300 years old is nestled into the lush landscape of Normandy on the Cotentin peninsula in the north-west of Normandy. The area is characterised by swamps, extensive heaths and wild coasts with white sandy beaches. It is a paradise for a nature and beach holiday with a child and dog.

The farm consists of the imposing former main farmhouse and two natural stone barns, which have been converted into four modern holiday houses. Attention was paid to preserving traditional elements and combining them stylishly with modern comfort. The stone floors and the wooden ceiling beams tell the story of past times. The owner also lives on the farm.

The 35,000 km² carefully tended site borders a stream and a picturesque pond with water lilies. The interior courtyard has a grill area and plenty of garden furniture. You can enjoy leisurely meals outdoors here. Children will enjoy the fenced animal park and the generous playing lawn with a swing and a trampoline, while adults can withdraw to a sun lounger in one of the orchards with a good book. A car is recommended during your stay and there are secure parking spaces right in front of the house.

Although the owner in the main house is always mindful of your privacy, he is happy to assist with any queries. Your dog is welcome at a small supplementary charge.

The country estate is about 10km from the St. German, Pirou and Lindbergh Plage sandy beaches, about 10-15 minutes by car. It is about 3km to the centre of the little town of Lessay with a range of shops, colourful markets and good gastronomy.
The stone building, originally used for farm animals, is now a comfortable holiday home for two to six people – ideal for couples, or families with a child and dog.

On the west side there is a private, separate garden, which is fenced and provides garden furniture, a parasol and a grill. It is partially roofed. There is a playing lawn for children. On the east side the is a lovely big interior courtyard with a little babbling stream, flower beds and further seating.

The living space of around 110m² consists of a ground floor and a first floor. The ground floor has a generous and cosy living room with a fireplace, a 70cm colour TV (satellite channels, incl. German), a stereo system, DVD player, video recorder. There is also a fully-equipped kitchen-diner with a gas stove and oven, cooker hood, fridge, freezer compartment, microwave, coffee machine, kettle, dishwasher, washing machine, and a spacious dining area. The first floor comprises two big, light bedrooms with double beds and an extensive view over the surrounding fields, perfect for enjoying spectacular sunsets. There is also a children's room with a bunk bed. One bathroom has a bath, washbasin and WC, and there is a separate shower room with a shower, washbasin and WC. A cot and highchair are available.
