Welcome to Gîte Via Romana, your haven of peace in the heart of the Hérault. Located in the commune of Salelles-du-bosc, this gîte offers the ideal getaway for travelers seeking peace and quiet and nature without sacrificing comfort.
This pretty, locally-colored house can accommodate up to 6 people. You'll find a large living area with a lounge, TV area, a dining area and a lovely open-plan kitchen. The latter is fully equipped (oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge, freezer and all kitchen utensils).
On the first floor is the first double bedroom, plus a shower room and laundry room with direct access to the outside and garage.
The sleeping area is upstairs. Here you'll find two double bedrooms, each with access to the terrace, a single bedroom and a large bathroom.
The house's main attraction is undoubtedly its outdoor spaces. The main terrace features garden furniture and a shaded dining area. An electric griddle is available. From the terrace, you can enjoy a plunging view of the pool below. The pool is protected by a fence and an audible alarm. You can relax on the poolside sunbeds or enjoy a game of pétanque at the back of the house.
For added comfort, the house is equipped with air conditioning on the first floor and fans on the first floor, Wi-Fi connection, washing machine, garage for motorcycles and bicycles, and two parking spaces.
The rental also includes all utilities. Bed linen, towels and end-of-stay cleaning are included.
All year round except July-August: discount for stays of 7 nights and more.
TOURIST ATTRACTIONS:
Just a few kilometers away, you'll find the Lac du Salagou. This man-made lake offers spectacular scenery with its turquoise waters, red hills and volcanic rock-lined shores. You can stroll along the lake, mountain bike, hike or enjoy water sports such as windsurfing, kayaking and swimming.
Around 30 kilometers northwest of Salelles-du-Bosc lies La Couvertoirade, a fortified medieval village. You can wander through the cobbled streets, admire the stone houses, visit the ramparts and discover the Château de La Couvertoirade.
To the east of Salelles-du-Bosc, you'll find the magnificent Gorges de l'Hérault. It's an ideal place for hiking, climbing and canoeing. You can also visit the famous Pont du Diable, a medieval stone bridge spanning the river.
Around 20 kilometers northeast of Salelles-du-Bosc lies the village of Saint-Guilhem-le-Désert, listed as one of France's most beautiful villages. This picturesque medieval village is set in a green valley and is famous for its Gellone Abbey, a UNESCO World Heritage site.
