Its surroundings, towards the mountain, are interesting for some caves and for traces of prehistoric settlements. The mountain, high just over 1000 m and 20 km long, is a great attraction for those who want to discover the pastoral and wild interior of Sardinia, including extensive forest formations and immense stones of lunar appearance.In the last decades Siniscola has had a big impulse for the appeal exercised by the beauty of its coasts, a wide stretch between Capo Comino and Punta la Batteria. The main town is La Caletta, a famous holiday resort, also equipped with a good pleasure and fishing port; large beaches of fine sand and green pine forests characterize the low coast. To the south, along the ss 125 Orientale Sarda (one of the most fascinating roads of Sardinia, due to the spectacular variety of scenarios that opens at every turn) towards Orosei, there are some places that are certainly worth a visit, such as Santa Lucia, a coastal village near a thick pine forest, equipped with the beach of the same name; Capo Comino - S. Ena 'e sa Chitta, near a beautiful beach, on the southern edge of which lie white dunes.
