HISTORY

Numerosissime sono le possibilità di effettuare escursioni, sia lungo la costa che nell’entroterra, essendo il paese in posizione centrale sia rispetto a Santa Teresa che a Castel Sardo.
Posto turistico-balneare affacciato sul golfo dell’Asinara (Sardegna Nord-Occidentale) in posizione baricentrica rispetto ai siti storico-archeologici più significativi del nord e alle località turistiche più famose (Costa Smeralda, Santa Teresa di Gallura, Castelsardo, Alghero e Stintino).
Pittoresco paesino turistico. Il territorio è caratterizzato dall'alternarsi di spiagge e calette di sabbia fina e bianca cinte di scogliere di granito rosso che nel contrasto col mare, trasparente e di color smeraldo.
Il mare è ancora ricco di prede pregiate e soggetto di bellissime foto, vero paradiso per escursioni subacquee.
La distanza è di circa 5 km dalla località di pescatori Isola Rossa.

STORIA
La nascita del centro abitato di Trinità d'Agultu, formatosi attorno ad una antica chiesa campestre, risale alla seconda metà dell'Ottocento. L'agglomerato costiero dell'Isola Rossa, così chiamato per il colore dell'isolotto omonimo che lo fronteggia, a circa 400 metri dalla costa, conserva un borgo marinaro e una torre cinquecentesca, retaggio del dominio spagnolo.

Festa della Santissima Trinità, maggio-giugno
La festa della Santissima Trinità si celebra tra la fine del mese di maggio e l'inizio del mese di giugno. I festeggiamenti sono contraddistinti da una processione attraverso le vie del paese con la statua del patrono del 1700 e da manifestazioni di musica leggera e folkloristica.
Rassegna "Orfeo cinto di mirto", ultimo sabato di luglio - primo sabato di settembre.
Sagre enograstronomiche
nei mesi di luglio ed agosto, con cadenza settimanale, si tengono sagre in cui è possibile gustare piatti tipici locali e le serate sono animate da musica e balli folkloristici nella piazza antistante la Chiesa della SS. Trinità.
Festa della birra, 16-18 agosto
E' una manifestazione importante che vede presenti vari gruppi folk e di canto locali.
