Villetta Palma Ruggeri is a nice villa in the countryside of Torre Specchia Ruggeri, at about 850 m from the sea and close to the beautiful San Foca town.
The large enclosed outdoor spaces and the play area make the villa the ideal place where to spend a wonderful holiday in Salento away from the traffic and the noise, but near the sea.
THE LOCATION
Overlooking the Adriatic Sea, Torre Specchia Ruggeri is one of the five marinas of Melendugno (together with San Foca, Roca Vecchia, Torre dell'Orso and Torre Sant'Andrea) which can also be reached on foot.
This corner of the coast is among the most fascinating seaside town in the Salento area, a true pearl of beauty suitable for all needs and tastes, thanks to the alternation of sandy stretches and rocky cliffs typical of the Salento Adriatic coast.
In this town and in San Foca there are many activities (grocery stores, bars, restaurants, pizzerias, tobacconists, pharmacies, and more), for all other services you could go in Melendugno, about 7 km away.
THE HOUSE
Villetta Palma Ruggeri is about 80 square meters large, has air conditioning and can comfortably accommodate up to 4 guests (up to 6 considering the sofa bed).
The house consists of:
- living room with fireplace, TV and sofa bed (available on request with extra fee);
- equipped kitchen with the main cooking accessories and lunch table;
- 2 bedrooms, one double and one with two single beds;
- a complete bathroom with shower box.
OUTDOOR SPACES
Villa Palma Ruggeri is about 2,300 square meters large and the outdoor space is fenced, well equipped and comfortable.
A garden with fruit trees and a lawn surrounds the house, where there is also an outdoor shower and a play area with a slide, a swing and several seats for relaxing.
Near the entrance to the villa there is a beautiful pergola equipped with a table and a barbecue corner, for organizing tasty barbecues and enjoying meals outdoors.
Finally, villetta Palma Ruggeri has a laundry area with washing machine, and a large parking inside the property. Since the house is completely fenced, it is also perfect for families traveling with their pets.

ACTIVITIES AND PLACES OF INTEREST
For those who love uncrowded beaches or being in contact with the wild nature, Torre Specchia Ruggeri is certainly among the best choices.
An excellent destination also for trekking lovers, by boat or even by kayak, to discover the suggestive landscapes that characterize the coast.
The locality of San Foca is just 3 km away, interesting o visit.
Furthermore, at 5 km there is "Roca Vecchia", an ancient Messapian city which today gives way to a suggestive sea characterized by various small beaches. Here it is still possible to visit the remains of the ancient local castle overlooking the sea, once the scene of assaults and a feared hideout for pirates.
A little further away, the beloved Grotta della Poesia, whose name is linked to the legend of a beautiful princess who used to immerse herself in the crystal clear waters of this heavenly place, transforming it into a place of inspiration for many local poets.
In addition, the beautiful beach of Torre dell'Orso (3 km) is also very close, as Torre Sant'Andrea, characterized by an essentially low and rocky coast with caves, stacks, inlets and a small sandy cove.
Finally, there is also a very important natural site nearby, called Le Cesine Nature Reserve, in the municipality of Vernole about 5 km from the house, a wild place of extraordinary beauty, characterized by woodland mixed with Mediterranean scrub, perfect for nature lovers.
