An insider tip for everyone who is looking for nature and relaxation. The location of this holiday home is hard to beat: right by the sea (a maximum of two minutes on foot and you're in the water), in nature, with a large private property on a slope and beautiful sea views on a particularly quiet stretch of coast, away from the crowded Salento beaches.
As almost everywhere on the southernmost Adriatic coast of Salento, the coast here is predominantly rocky. However, the house is on a relatively flat section, in a place called "Scalamasciu", which is less known even to the locals. Here the sea can be reached via a pleasant path with a few steps; you get into the water easily, only sandals are recommended. The small, natural pools with shallow water are great fun for children.
The house offers a pretty terrace with sea views (partly shaded), a large living room with open kitchen and fireplace, three bedrooms (one with sea view and one with separate beds) and a bathroom with shower. There is an additional single bed in the living room and an external shower outside.
The furnishings are simple but functional, with a brand new kitchen with beautiful Apricena marble kitchen top; washing machine, dishwasher, crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils are available. There is no air conditioning, but the eastern exposure, the thick walls, the surrounding trees and some fans mitigate the summer heat. The windows are equipped with mosquito nets. A stone BBQ is also available.
A heated outdoor whirlpool is at your exclusive disposal on the terrace. Enjoy pure relaxation in daylight or in the moonlight, with a glass of Prosecco or a good book, look at the azure blue sea below you and forget the stress of everyday life with individually adjustable water temperature (maximum 40 °C) as often as you wish. The whirlpool will be opened for you on request; it can be used all year round, including (or even more so!) in winter. The surcharge is €80 setup costs + €20 per day, which includes the cleaning and disinfection of the whirlpool approx. twice a week and with every guest change.
Please note that the house can only be reached via stone stairs (approx. 40 steps); access is therefore not barrier-free.
Excellent restaurants and supermarkets can be reached within a few minutes by car; there is also one restaurant in walking distance, not open the whole year though.

️ Sheets, duvets and towels are not included. If you don't want to bring them with you from home, regardless of the length of your stay, you can rent them for €20 per person. Beach/pool towels are not provided.
Final cleaning is not included and costs €80, unless you clean yourselves before departure.
Dogs and pets are allowed (max 2 dogs or pets, surcharge €60 per dog/pet). You will need to inform us in advance.
We will ask you to pay a security deposit of €600 before arrival. The security deposit will be refunded within 7 days after departure, if there is no damage.
⚡ Electricity costs (and thus where applicable AC, hot water, heating etc.) are NOT included in the price and will be charged based on your actual consumption. The price per kWh charged to guests was €0,34 on 13/04/2024, when this text was last updated, but as prices are fluctuating a lot, your actual price per kWh will be communicated a few days before your arrival based on the current market price.
We decided not to include electricity costs in the rent in order to: a) keep our rental prices stable despite inflation and b) incentivate our guests to use electricity responsibly, helping us to reach our sustainability goals. Thank you for your understanding.
